SlyFoxHound: “How he became my favorite YouTuber.”
I don’t watch a lot of people on YouTube, but some of the ones I do watch are The Creatures, a group of Machinima Gamers. One of them was Sly, and he will probably be my favorite YouTuber ever. Back in my freshman year, I was dealing with a lot of personal things. At the time I didn’t really have anyone to talk to, and I was isolated. Of course I did meet people and made friends, but I stayed isolated. A friend I made was Adrian, and at the time we didn’t know each other too well, he still tried to help me out. He showed me a video made by Sly and Adrian told me that Sly helped him out when he was dealing with stuff. I enjoyed the video, which was really just an animation and a song made by this guy I’ve never heard of. I started watching his videos, and I enjoyed them. His excitement and hyped up attitude helped me out when I thought no one could. I still thank Adrian for showing me Sly for now more than just that reason. After watching Sly’s videos, I soon learned that he was in a group with other Machinima YouTubers called The Creatures. They all did gaming and shared one quality: keeping people entertained. I watch videos from these guys almost everyday because they keep me entertained with their stupidity. Believe it or not, these idiots are a few of my many inspirations for doing YouTube myself. Of course, Sly will always be my favorite and biggest inspiration. Today, I learned that he was retiring from The Creatures to work more on his channel, to be closer to family, and many other reasons. Personally, I had mixed emotions hearing about that. Sly really changed a lot around for me. I know he’s a bigshot YouTuber, but I see him as someone who helped me when I was at a low point. Many people have helped me out in the past few years, and this guy was one of those many people. I wish I could personally say thanks to this guy, but the most I could do is keep supporting him and watching his videos. In the end, if it wasn’t for Adrian showing me that video, I would have never met SlyFoxHound/Eddie.
As Sly would always say, “HOMIES UNITE!”
